Sights and Sounds of Rockcastle Co. Lady Rockets 2011 State Title Run

I rarely do this, but felt it was worth the time and hopefully all of you won’t mind either. 

A little background: I live in Kentucky and graduated from Rockcastle County High School in (year withheld).  I played football and ran track for The Rock.  My younger brother played football and baseball, and my younger sister played basketball.  So I used to follow the Lady Rockets back then, and went to the Sweet Sixteen when she played.

Well this year, the Lady Rockets not only made it back to the Sweet Sixteen, they won the whole thing and brought home the county’s first state title in girls basketball.  Locally there hasn’t been that much coverage on it, but a sports reporter / sports anchor from WYMT out of Hazard, Kentucky; Derek Forrest has put together a few video montages in honor of the Lady Rockets and posted them online.  So in honor of both Derek Forrest and The Lady Rockets, I wanted to post this video for everyone to see:
