Sony Goes Viral for The Amazing Spider-Man with The Untold Story

Sony Pictures has started up a small viral campaign for The Amazing Spider-Man, leading up to a sneak people on Monday, February 6th in selected cities. The campaign started in London with a somewhat new logo being projected on buildings giving the date of February 6th, and pointing to a web address. The URL for London is TheUntoldStoryBegins.co.uk and for the US its TheUntoldStoryBegins.com.

Below is a screenshot of the site that loads, once you select your city (notice that the cities are global, including Rome and Tokyo) you’re taken to another site where you can register, for what I’m assume are tickets for what is described as “a special moviegoer event that you will not want to miss” The screening info is also listed as February 6, 2012 at 3:00PM.

Could this be a new trailer? A preview giving us more background into Peter’s parents, similar to The Dark Knight Rises’ preview giving background on Bane? Looks like we’ll have to wait until Feb 6th to find out.
