Busy Bee Studios, the developers behind Giggle Ghosts, and one of the all time best apps for the iPhone or iPad Zoo Train have released their latest, Bug Games. I will admit I have been looking forward to seeing this release since I discovered Zoo Train last year as saw the logo for Bug Games on their site, and Busy Bee Studios have not disappointed.
Bug Games offers your child hours of entertainment by offering four games; Music, Phonics, Puzzles, and Counting, along with the Busy Bee infamous stickers to award success. Let me repeat that, for $.99 on the iPhone; $1.99 on the iPad you can get 4 separate games within 1 app, and the absolute best part, at least from a parents perspective, is that they’re all educational and beneficial. The app encourages fine motor skills, pattern recognition, matching, and more skills.
Just like with all of Busy Bee’s apps, the graphics are sharp, bright, and beautiful, some of the best looking children’s apps in all of the App Store come from Busy Bee Studios. The initial skills for Bug Games are geared for toddlers/preschoolers, and continues to provide challenges and they progressively get more challenging, and by earning a sticker every three rounds, you can bet your child will sit there and work through these, even as they becoming more challenging.
I won’t spoil what my favorite aspects of the app are in terms of my daughter, or which is her favorite (phonics and the ant tunnels respectively) but believe me, this is another one of those special apps, that as a parent of young children, if you let them use your iPhone or iPad, consider this app one of the must haves. As both an educational and entertaining app, this one will no disappoint you.
