The Comic Book Academy is geared towards people, who might not understand who Bane in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises is, but wants to.  What wants to pick up reading a comic, but not be bogged down with feeling like they need to read a tone of backstories to know what’s going on now.  When you enroll (subscribe) to the Comic Book Academy, you’ll follow Nick, as he questions the Academy’s professors on a certain character per episode.  He’ll be asking the questions you’ll want to ask.

Classes are Monday’s, with professors showing up on a rotational basis.

I originally highlighted Those People & Him in November of last year, after listening to their first episode after seeing some people tweet about on Twitter.  After listening to that first episode, I have supported them in every way I could, by word of mouth, by posting about them on here and other places online.  Since then, I’ve gotten to know all three individuals, and consider them all great friends.  They have supported Geekasms as much as anyone else has, and if it wasn’t for them, there would be no Geekasms podcast.  Today, marks the release of their 25th episode, a milestone I felt was worthy of being highlighted.  Of course, you can go check them out on iTunes and see that they are listed as having a total of 35 episodes, which include minisodes, and specialsodes, like the Superhero Draft and the Avengers Midnight Premier, both of which I was fortunate to be a part of.  If you’ve listened to the podcast before, you realize how great it is, and that I’m not just gushing over them because of some type of bromance, but because, flat-out, they rock!  If you’re not familiar with the Those People & Him Podcast, I’ll let the guys themselves explain it for you:

Those People & Him was started simply because we are “those people”, at least that’s what Beans (the Him) says. We like Star Wars, comic books, zombies, and all of those things that require a little something his childhood was lacking…imagination. Join us as we wage a war against Bean’s sensibilities and try to convert him to the dark side.

While I feel that most people who come to Geekasms would consider themselves within the “those people” column, that are tons that fall under “the him” column.  This is a podcast geared towards everyone.  The entertainment value is off the charts.  I have listened to each one of these episodes, including episodes I’ve been on and even just sat in on, and can tell you this podcast has something for everyone.

They’re 25 episodes in, and its only going to get better from here!!  So please, do yourself a favor, and if you haven’t already, check them out with their latest episode, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Tobias “Toby” Gregson (Aidan Quinn), knows from previous experience working with Scotland Yard that Sherlock is brilliant at closing cases, and welcomes him as part of the team. With the mischievous Sherlock Holmes now running free in New York solving crimes, it’s simple deduction that he’s going to need someone to keep him grounded, and it’s elementary that it’s a job for Watson. Rob Doherty, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly and Michael Cuesta, who directed the pilot, are executive producers for CBS Television Studios.
