Paramount+ has released their first teaser trailer for the upcoming third season of their Star Trek animated series, Star Trek: Lower Decks.
The cliffhanger of Season 2 found the USS Cerritos Captain Freeman taken into custody over charges that she’d conspired to destroy the Pakled homeworld. The new teaser trailer focuses on that cliffhanger with voiceovers alluding to the Lower Deck officers plotting to highjack that still damaged USS Cerritos.

Season three of Star Trek: Lower Decks challenges the U.S.S. Cerritos ensigns in (hilarious) ways they could never imagine, starting with a shocking resolution for season two’s epic cliffhanger finale.
STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos. Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Rutherford and Tendi have to keep up with their duties and their social lives, often while the ship is being rocked by a multitude of sci-fi anomalies.
The third season will feature returning characters Ensign Beckett Mariner, voiced by Tawny Newsome; Ensign Brad Boimler, voiced by Jack Quaid; Ensign Tendi, voiced by Noël Wells; and Ensign Rutherford, played by Eugene Cordero. The cast also includes USS Cerritos‘ bridge crew Captain Carol Freeman, voiced by Dawnn Lewis; Commander Jack Ransom, voiced by Jerry O’Connell; and Doctor T’Ana, played by Gillian Vigman.
