LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Announced With First Look Trailer
Batman turns 86, and TT Games is celebrating in style. During Gamescom Opening Night Live, the studio revealed LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight — a massive, brick-built action-adventure launching in 2026 with an open-world Gotham to explore.
Rumors have been swirling for months, but now it’s official: Batman is back in LEGO form. The first-look trailer confirms the game will cover the Dark Knight’s rich history — from iconic comic arcs to big-screen moments — all with TT Games’ signature humor and puzzle-solving gameplay.
Gameplay & Features
Unlike past LEGO Batman titles, Legacy of the Dark Knight isn’t a straight adaptation of a single story. Instead, it’s a love letter to Batman’s legacy — spanning his evolution as detective, vigilante, and leader of the “Batfam.”
Key features:
- Open-world Gotham – Drive the Batmobile, stop crimes, solve puzzles, collect rewards, and uncover secrets.
- Classic gadgets – Batarangs, Batclaw, and more.
- Playable Bat-family & allies – Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, Talia al Ghul. Each has unique gear (Jim Gordon’s foam sprayer, Robin’s line launcher, Catwoman’s whip).
- Rogues Gallery – Face iconic villains including The Joker, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, Bane (voiced by Matt Berry), and more.
