Pixar has released the first teaser trailer for Inside Out 2, their highly-anticipated sequel to 2015’s Inside Out.
The video provides a glimpse of the reappearance of Riley’s five emotions—Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust—as they prepare to navigate the complexities that arise with Riley entering adolescence. Little do they know, these challenges encompass coping with the unexpected emergence of new emotions, such as Anxiety, voiced by Stranger Things star Maya Hawke.
According to director Kelsey Mann, the new character promises to stir things up within headquarters. “Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but she’s not really the type to take a back seat,” said Mann. “That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.”
Along with the teaser trailer, a new poster for the film was also released, which you can view below.

Inside Out 2 releases only in theaters on June 14, 2024.
