Marvel Announces Avengers: Mightiest Friends Preschool Series for Disney Jr. & Disney+
The Avengers are assembling for a much younger audience. Disney Branded Television and Marvel Studios have announced Avengers: Mightiest Friends, a preschool animated series set to debut in 2027 on Disney Jr. and Disney+.
- The show expands Marvel’s growing “preschool universe,” which began with Spidey and His Amazing Friends (2021) and continues with Iron Man and His Awesome Friends (premiering Aug. 2025).
- Avengers: Mightiest Friends will feature kid versions of Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Panther, Thor, and, for the first time, Black Widow.
- Storylines focus on teamwork, friendship, and fun battles with “Super Baddies” like Ultron and Green Goblin.
Disney Jr. also announced two upcoming crossover specials, Marvel’s Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team Up! The first premieres October 16, 2025, with a Halloween special to follow in fall 2026.
rad Winderbaum, head of Marvel TV & Animation, noted: “Spidey and His Amazing Friends was our first shot at giving little kids a front-row seat to the Marvel Universe. The success confirmed we were onto something.”
According to Nielsen, Spidey and His Amazing Friends is the #2 streaming series for kids ages 2–5, just behind Bluey. The success of that series laid the groundwork for the expansion into a “Marvel Preschool Universe.”
